trade-mark for high-tensile and ultra high-tensile galvanised sheet
steel products. |
| Dogal is produced in the qualities Dogal 600 DP and Dogal 800 DP. Dogal DP grades are dual-phase steels that contain ferrite, which is soft and allows good formability, and martensite, which is hard and strengthens of the material. The gap between the yield point and the tensile strength is considerable in the unformed state, but it decreases rapidly during cold forming as work hardening occurs. |
| In comparison to ZStE steels, Dogal
DP shows less springback during cold forming while having the same
tensile strength. This is the result of the large gap between the
yield point and the tensile strength, i.e. there is a large strengthening
exponent. Dogal DP steels have high formability and are well suited to stretch-forming. |
One area of application is the
automobile industry, for example. |
| Dogal DP is available in thicknesses
of 0.50 mm to 2.00 mm and in widths of up to 1500 mm. There may be
limitations depending on the quality and thickness. |
